Welcome to the private INDEED project wiki

Using the MoinMoin Wiki

The wiki allows any wiki page to act as a file repository. Look for the attachments button attached to every page. The "edit text" button allows users to write and edit pages the old fashioned way, manually adding characters to signify bullet points etc. I would not recomend this. The "edit GUI" button allows for a much more familiar editing environment. The GUI has to be loaded accross the network, it may take 20 seconds or so to become ready for use, (until then many of the functions will be grayed out)
Adding new pages to the wiki is a simple process. You select "find page" then type in the name of the new page (if a page cannot be found it is instead created). Links to other pages can be entered in the GUI editing mode through use of the "Insert/Edit link" button.
Be careful not to constantly go into and out of editing of a given page, when MoinMoin gets indigestion it will either print conflict warnings to a page (giving you something else to delete...) or will bar you from editing for a minute or so believing you are in fact attacking the system.

Security

You have been allocated a password / username for the wiki; passwords can be changed from within the wiki using the userpreferences page. If you lose your password / username, please email for assistance

Backups

The wiki is regularly backed up; however we would never recommend the uploading of documents to which no other copy exists, just to be on the safe side.
