Overview

The Interdisciplinary Design and Evaluation of Dependability (InDeED) project involved researchers with an interest in dependable socio-technical systems from the Universities of York, St Andrews, Edinburgh and City University London. InDeED was truly a multi-disciplinary project, bringing together researchers with backgrounds in computer science, maths, psychology, sociology and business.

InDeED was a long term, four year research project beginning in July 2006 and finishing in December 2010. InDeED's aims were to develop knowledge, methods and tools that contribute to the understanding of socio-technical system dependability, and that support developers of dependable systems.

The project followed on from DIRC, which made remarkable progress across a number of areas. Click here if you wish to know more about the work of DIRC. You may also be interested in the 2007-2012 Large Scale Complex IT Systems Project (LSCITS).
